On February 21, Sony Pictures released the trailer for the film (The Pope's Exorcist) several personalities expressed disagreement with his portrayal of the late Gabriele Amorth, Sony Pictures reported that the film is inspired by the true story of Father Gabriele Amorth, The Chief Exorcist of the Vatican, however, priests such as Mons, Stephen Rossetti, and Father José Antonio Fortí among others, have pointed out that the film does not seem inspired by the life of the famous Italian priest, on the contrary, the actions of the devil, as well as the ministry of the exorcist, have been exaggerated for cinematic purposes.


   Actor Russell Crown bears no resemblance to Father Gabriele Amorth, so who was this Italian priest really?


1. He founded the International Agency of Exorcists.


   Father Gabriele Amorth was perhaps the most famous exorcist in the world, together with Father René Laurentin he founded the international association of exorcists in 1994 and almost 20 years later it has 800 exorcist members and 120 auxiliaries.
